Recently, the backup software failed to capture the system protected files on a windows machine. Commvault error code was Error Code: [6:64]
Upon investigation, it was found the VSS writer 'system writer' was missing on the server.

In my case, I checked the total number of files and folders on the following path and reduced it to under 10,000.
